  • Toyota technician goes in front of the cameras

    Lianne Cooper

    18 July 2008

A BROMSGROVE mechanic took centre stage at a celebrity-style photo shoot last month.
Martin Walsh, a technician at Westlands Bromsgrove Toyota, was asked to take part in the shoot for automotive manufacturer DENSO by the Worcestershire based Whitefoot-Forward PR.
Michelle Whitefoot, director at the PR company said: "We wanted to update DENSO’s photo library and came up with the idea of using a local garage and mechanic to illustrate some of its products being used in action.
"Martin was great to work with and really threw himself into the role – he was a real natural in front of the camera."
The photo shoot involved Martin fitting a number of DENSO products both in the showroom and the workshop at the Toyota garage.
Kim Wilczynski, manager at Westlands added: "DENSO and Toyota have always had close links so we were happy to help.
"We are always keen to take part in any activities which help to raise our profile and offer a little bit more to our staff and this was a perfect opportunity - it also caused a few laughs in the workshop."
