    18 July 2008

A SALON in Studley has beaten off competition from businesses across Warwickshire to pick up a regional award for its service to customers.
Watson's Nail and Beauty Salon received the accolade from Customer Excellence Awards, an organisation which rewards small and medium businesses for improving customer appreciation.
Owner Anni Watson went into the beauty industry when she gave up working as a recruitment consultant back in 2001 to have her two boys.
She trained in all aspects of beauty and holistic treatments and opened the salon in November 2006, introducing more and more varied treatments to suit all clients needs.
One of her main priorities has always been to make sure clients feel at ease and make sure they experience the ultimate relaxing experience.
She said: "Having used many salons in my area over the years, and finding some intimidating and over priced, I wanted to make sure my salon had a personal and friendly feeling, along with quality treatments at affordable prices.
"This award is great and shows that adding that personal touch, i.e. loyalty cards, discounts, open evenings, nibbles, clean friendly welcoming environment and that much needed coffee when clients arrive, all matter.
"I pride myself on being friends with many of my customers and thank them all for their loyalty over the past 18 months - this award has made me even more focused on building successful long-term customer relationships."
The salon now offers a wide range of treatments, including botox to teeth whitening, waxing to nail extensions, and permanent hair removal to spray tanning, and sells top brands such as Jessica and Hive beauty products.
A team of five experienced therapists regularly attend training programs to keep up with the demands and current trends in the industry.
